Meet the Chamber Team


Tom Torti

Tom Torti has been the President of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce since 2006. Prior to his appointment, he spent 16 years serving in senior cabinet positions in the state government. Tom has been active in his community and the region serving as a member of the Essex Select Board and Planning Commission; the Chittenden County Transportation Authority; the Maple Leaf Farms Board of Directors and coaching youth sports. He currently serves on the Boards of The Committee on Temporary Shelter, RunVermont, Hunger Free Vermont and is a Trustee of Burlington College. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Michael’s College and his Master’s Degree from the University of Vermont.


Catherine Z. Davis

Cathy heads the Chamber’s legislative advocacy, communications and member services teams. During the legislative session, she represents the interests of the Chamber and GBIC members at the Statehouse in Montpelier, tracking the issues for members and ensuring members’ views are heard by legislators. Outside of work, Cathy lives with her husband and two small children in a farmhouse that keeps them busy with lots of DIY.


Patrick O’Neil

Pat serves as the Chamber's Financial Operations Manager. Prior to joining the Chamber, he spent six years managing the accounting and finance for the North American branch of Garmont.  Patrick received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Vermont and is a lifelong resident of Essex, Vermont. Patrick enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, skiing and hockey.


Nicole Belanus

Nicole is responsible for all Chamber communications, the Chamber's social media outlets, maintenance of, serves as the Board Liaison, and she is in charge of Member Special Events. Nicole is also responsible for design work and supervising the administrative staff.  Nicole enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending time with her family.


Matt Borden

Matt has worked at the Chamber for 10 years and is currently the Supervisor of the Williston Welcome Centers, Georgia Southbound Rest Area, the Chamber's Burlington International Airport Information Desk and Burlington Waterfront Visitors Center.


Ashten Stringer

Government Affairs Specialist | 802.863.3489 ext.228

Ashten serves as part of the Chamber's Government Affairs team monitoring legislative developments in the Vermont State House in Montpelier.  In addition, Ashten will support the Burlington Young Professionals organization. Prior to taking on this position, Ashten used his background in community development to serve as the Chamber's AmeriCorps VISTA member where he coordinated and taught the TIPS program.  In his free time, he enjoys skiing, hiking, and playing soccer.


Mary Anne Sheahan

Mary Anne is the Executive Director of Leadership Champlain, Vermont’s professional development leadership program; and also directs Workforce Education and Development, promoting and retaining workforce talent in Vermont. Mary Anne is a Project Management Professional and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration. A UVM legacy, graduate, parent, and fan, she lives in Shelburne with her husband and three teen-age children.

Erin Bombard

Erin supports the Chamber's regional tourism and event functions. She develops and implements digital marketing efforts for and manages the Chamber's networking and annual events. Prior to joining the Chamber, Erin worked at where she wrote website content and ran social media campaigns. A native Western New Yorker moving to Vermont after completing her B.A. from Plattsburgh State, Erin spends her free time with friends and family, outside, cooking or reading a good book.


Victoria Colarusso

Victoria is a native New Yorker who moved to Vermont shortly after receiving her B.A. from the University at Albany in Upstate New York. She is responsible for general office and administrative duties within the Chamber. She assists tourists and guests of the Chamber with general inquiries and requests. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her friends and family, travel, and go on hikes with her dog.


John Antonucci

Director of Entrepreneurship | 802.863.3489 ext. 212

John is the director of LaunchVT, a statewide business mentoring and pitch competition, HackVT, a 24hr hack-a-thon competition, and Burlington Young Professionals. Prior to joining LCRCC John consulted for businesses and nonprofits and he was a co-founder of the Entrepreneurship Institute for the Governor's Institutes of Vermont. He has degrees in Economics, Sociology, and Education from the University of Vermont. John and his wife live in Williston with their three children.


Barbara Swinton

Tourist Assistant


Barb welcomes visitors, answers questions about the area and assists Chamber staff with various projects. She belongs to Burlington Business and Professional Women, volunteers at Hope Lodge and is a Flynn Center Spirit. She enjoys cookng, reading, antiquing, and train travel. 



Sherri Potvin

Administrative Assistant | 802.372.8400

Sherri is a native Vermonter who bas been a Champlain Islands resident for 40 years. She manages our Islands Office. Sherri attended Chittenden County schools and graduated from Champlain College with a degree in Paralegal Studies. She enjoys friends and family gatherings, boating, gardening, and relaxing at home.


Liz Amler

Liz works with the Chamber's Government Affairs Team and Conventions Bureau. Prior to joining the Chamber, Liz worked on gubernatorial campaigns in Vermont and the Bernie 2016 campaign. Liz is originally from New York, and attended the University of Vermont where she received her bachelors degree in Global Studies. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.


Gail Stevenson

VQEI Coordinator

Gail is in charge of VQEI relations. Gail currently consults for the International Cryosphere Climate Initiative, was Director of International Programs at Champlain College; served on the Faculty at Middlebury College for many years and has numerous significant academic achievements to her name. Gail holds a Ph.D. in Economics from American University. Gail is fluent in Norwegian, has a command of the Russian language, communicates both in writing and speaking in French and some Spanish.
